Terms and conditions

1. Who we are
This website is operated by Decant. Throughout the site, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Decant. By visiting the site or placing an order you agree to these terms.

2. What we sell
We sell decants: smaller quantities of fragrance transferred by hand from full retail bottles into 3ml, 5ml, 10ml and 15ml vials.

Decants are repackaged by us. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to the fragrance houses whose names appear on this site. Brand names and fragrance names are used only to describe the contents of the vial, which is what the law calls nominative use. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

We buy from authorised retail sources and keep the purchase record for each bottle we open.

3. Product information
Vials are filled by volume, by hand, with a small tolerance. Because a decant is drawn from a bottle that has been opened, sillage and longevity can differ slightly from a factory sealed bottle, and different production batches of the same fragrance can smell slightly different from each other. That is normal for the category and is not a fault.

Photographs on this site show the vial and the fragrance it was drawn from. Colours can vary between screens.

4. Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm it. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example if an item is out of stock, if a price or description was published in error, or if we believe the order is fraudulent. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, you get a full refund.

5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Bahraini Dinar (BHD) and can change without notice. Payment is taken through Shopify's checkout; we never see or store your full card details.

6. Delivery
Orders are sealed and sent within 3 to 4 days. Full detail is in our Shipping policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Returns
For hygiene reasons, a decant that has been opened or used cannot be returned. If your order arrives damaged, leaking, mislabelled, or is not what you ordered, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs and we will replace it or refund it. Our Refund policy sets out the detail and forms part of these terms.

8. Safe use
Fragrance is for external use on skin or clothing only. Do not swallow it, keep it away from eyes, and keep it away from children. Keep vials out of direct sunlight and away from heat. Fragrance is flammable. If you have sensitive skin, test on a small area first. If you have a reaction, stop using it and seek medical advice. We cannot be responsible for a reaction to an ingredient in a fragrance we did not formulate.

9. Age
You must be 18 or over, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to buy from this site.

10. Accuracy of the site
We try to keep everything on the site correct and current, but we do not warrant that it is free of errors. We may change products, descriptions and prices at any time.

11. Your account and conduct
You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and your password private. You may not use the site for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to interfere with it or with other users.

12. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

13. Privacy
How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the courts of Bahrain have jurisdiction over any dispute.

15. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published on this page at the time you order is the one that applies to that order.
